Hello and thank you for visiting my website, this is Yessie!

I am a Certified Yoga Instructor from California currently living in Seattle, WA. I am an adventure seeker and a curious person, I want to know the deeper meaning of things. I have found that I am - in a lot of ways - a misfit.  One of the few things that has been consistent in my life is Yoga. Practicing it and teaching it. 

I'm not a perfect human that does yoga poses and is happy at all times, because that is impossible for anyone to achieve.  I am a person that has learned a lot about the light and the darkness that resides in all of us and how to manage it in a healthy way. The lesson's I've learned have enhanced my life greatly and given me a burning desire to share this knowledge with others.  

The reason: What I learned helped me, if I share maybe it can help you too. 

Instead of a divided world, or worse yet a divided human, I want to aid in creating more connection.

Connection within myself, connection within you and connection to each other.

As human beings we have more in common than not, but our egos insist on the opposite and this self-induced division creates pain and suffering. 

Life isn't always easy, but we can make the most out of our human experience by getting our hearts, minds and bodies right and having them work together as a team. My favorite tools to achieve this are mindful living, meditation and yoga. With these practices we become better equipped to face the challenges life may throw at us and we also become more present to fully enjoy the precious moments that make life so sweet.

Upward Facing Dog Breakdown. In this video you'll learn how to do this posture safely to get the most out of this powerful and beneficial pose. 

 

The focus of this video is to strengthen and lengthen your spine. If you're already warmed up take it to your edge in the first set, if you aren't warmed up take gentle variations. Repeat as needed. "Happy Spine, Happy Life."

End your yoga practice with this series to cool-down or do this series independently for re-energizing poses that are sure to make you feel good. Enjoy! 

In this video we break down Halfway Lift - Ardha Uttanasana. This is a transitional pose, but it stays active the entire time and lengthens your entire backside body. 

 

If Half-Pigeon Pose causes pain pain in your knees take this pose instead as a modification. This is a great alternative because it stretches the same muscles, but you get to control how much pressure you apply.
